The INSIZE ISR-CS017 Shot Blasting Surface Roughness Specimen is a specialized precision comparator tool designed to verify the surface profile of steel that has been blast-cleaned prior to painting or coating. Made from pure Nickel, the specimen is highly rust-proof and exceptionally durable for use in harsh industrial environments. Its unique design features a single square piece divided into 4 distinct parts (quadrants), each representing a different, calibrated roughness grade for shot-blasted surfaces. The four sections correspond to Ra values of 3.2, 8, 13, and 18µm (and Rz values of 19.2, 48, 78, and 108µm). This allows inspectors to quickly match the blasted steel against the comparator visually and tactilely to determine the correct surface profile.
